Dr. Ali Al-Zahrani

Dr. ALI MATAR AL-ZAHRANI is a Saudi Medical Oncologist. He finished his medical degree at the Medical School at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in year 1992 with Highest Honor. His career magnitudes years functioning as junior physician back in the day as an Intern (September 1992 till September 1993), Internal Medicine Resident (September 1993-August 1994), IM Registrar (August 1994- October 1996). After finishing his Residency for Clinical Oncology in London UK from October 1996 till November 2000, he returned to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and worked as Senior Registrar to Armed Forces Hospital, Oncology between November 2000 to August 2001. Following this, he worked as a Fellow in KFSH&RC Oncology (2001-2002) and became Consultant in Armed Forces Hospital, Oncology Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 2002 till 2010. During this time, he was appointed as Deputy Director of Oncology Department. He was then transfer to Prince Sultan Military Medical City [RMH] and worked as a Consultant and at the same time became the Director of Oncology Department from January 2010 till October 2017. By November 2017 he decided to join King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) as Specialty Consultant seeing cases of Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Malignancies; Head and Neck Malignancies. Since he joined KFMC he became an active member of Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee representing the Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also been a Principal Investigator for numerous practice changing international trials and has published extensively in peer reviewed journals.
